VOLUNTEER
MEET US AT THE CORNER OF HUMANITY AND SERVICE
Starting by sharing 12 dozen cookies to those living with HIV/AIDS, RIVER FUND is entering our fourth decade of service, now a leading Poverty Frontline Center in New York City. Breaking the multigenerational cycle of poverty is accomplished by providing the largest food pantry in the Borough of Queens, complemented by a wide array of social services and educational programming to stabilize households currently in poverty, directing our efforts towards the community’s youth to empower them to seize every opportunity for advancing themselves and their families
For the first 24 years, RIVER FUND operated solely with the generous help of Volunteers.
Our dedicated Volunteers are our foundation and our integral to our core and to our work.

Corporate groups are welcome to volunteer on-site at our Wednesday or Saturday Food Distribution Programs as well as on Fridays as we prepare for our Saturday program. RIVER FUND respectfully requests a 100% tax-deductible donation for the Service Day projects to support our Mission – 'to feed and empower those we serve to move beyond the lines of poverty'.
