RIVER FUND Gala | Save the Date

Updated: Nov 8

1 in 4 children in New York City live in Poverty…a staggering statistic.

RIVER FUND views education as the key to overcoming poverty, supporting youth from prenatal care through college scholarships. Our approach ensures that investing in our youth leads to life changing impacts for them, their families, and our community.

Facing tremendous obstacles with limited resources, our students need critical support to pursue bigger dreams. By championing them, we help achieve those dreams.

Our Educational Pathways program began with the launch of the nation's first 'Child Poverty Awareness Day' in 2013, distributing backpacks and school supplies to thousands of children in need. Now, it stands as the capstone of our Cradle to College Initiative, expanding educational opportunities for our youth.

We will recognize RIVER FUND Youth and our stellar Mary C. Tiedemann Scholars.

As one of our rockstar MCT Graduates shared, ‘it’s hard to dream when you are trying to survive.’

Spencer Potts embraces Our Mission and believes in providing young people with the resources and opportunities they need to lead productive and meaningful lives.

In honoring Spence, we celebrate the best part of who we are.

Education is the way forward.
