BENEFITS CENTER
BENEFITS CENTER
Poverty is the intersection of multiple challenges in the life of an individual or family—which in combination become impossibly overwhelming. Each family and every individual living in poverty has unique circumstances, often with multiple factors at play.
Our first point of access is food, it acts as a release valve and allows our clients some amount of stability.
The Benefit Access Center utilizes a "Family by Family Approach" by conducting a thorough face-to-face intake to determine the obstacles a family faces both as individuals and as a family unit.
In addition to the programs outlined below, our team refers our clients based on need. Over 40 social service programs are a part of our approach including domestic, rental assistance and housing support.
RIVER FUND IS HERE TO HELP
The Benefits Access Center assists over 15,000 Clients yearly with services ranging from SNAP, Immigration, Insurance, Health Insurance, Domestic Violence and more. The average number of calls our team receives and services is over 100 per day – upwards from 300 social services cases each week prior to COVID.
Acting as a Concierge Service, clients are then assisted directly by our team or guided to our various partner organizations – all excel in their respective fields.
